1. Data we collect
We may collect account data such as email address, authentication-provider identifiers and account status; dating-profile data such as name, age or birth date, gender, dating orientation/preferences, country, city, languages, photos, videos, audio files and other user-uploaded content, biography, prompts, interests, relationship intentions, religion, political views and optional compatibility information; activity data such as likes, passes, matches, private messages, Community activity, Relationship Court/game activity, event participation, reports and blocks; Trust Passport or verification data where you choose to use those features; technical/security data such as device, browser, IP-derived security information, crash logs and timestamps; and purchase, subscription or entitlement records. We do not publish your full birth date or require your exact public location for the core dating service.
2. Why we use your data
We use personal data to create and secure accounts; build and display dating profiles; provide recommendations, matching and compatibility features; deliver private messaging, Community, Relationship Court, games and events; operate Trust Passport/verification where used; investigate reports and moderate abuse; detect scams, fraud and safety risks; process subscriptions, boosts, promotions and other purchases; provide support; measure product performance; send service communications; enforce our rules; and comply with legal obligations. Optional advertising or non-essential analytics are used only where enabled and where the required consent or other legal basis exists. We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand how the service is used.
3. Legal bases
Depending on the processing and your location, we rely on performance of our contract with you, legitimate interests such as safety, fraud prevention and service improvement, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where consent is legally required. For new accounts completing the current onboarding flow, special-category/sensitive profile information used for profile, preference and compatibility/matching purposes requires a separate explicit consent step. Profiles created before that consent flow was introduced are not retroactively blocked from the service solely because they predate the new checkbox; they can withdraw sensitive-profile processing at any time. You can withdraw consent for consent-based processing at any time without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.
4. Sensitive and optional profile information
Dating profiles can include information that is sensitive or special-category data under applicable law, including religious beliefs, political views and information that may reveal sexual orientation or dating orientation. New users are asked separately for explicit consent before they can finish onboarding with sensitive information used for profile display, preferences, recommendations, compatibility and matching. Existing profiles that predate this consent flow remain operational rather than being removed from Discovery solely because the checkbox did not exist when they joined. Sensitive-profile processing can be withdrawn in Privacy & data settings. Withdrawal stops those sensitive fields being used for Discovery/compatibility and hides them from public profile output where appropriate; it does not delete unrelated account data. You can still edit or delete the information and may consent again later.
5. Who receives data
Other members receive profile information according to your visibility settings and the features you use. Service providers may process data for hosting, database/authentication/storage, email delivery, translation, crash reporting, payments, app-store distribution and customer support. When you request or enable translation, the text submitted for translation, which can include message text or live-caption text, is sent to the Google Cloud Translation service so the translated version can be returned. Current providers and categories are documented internally and include Supabase and, where configured or used, hosting/email providers, Sentry, Google Cloud Translation, Apple, Google and payment/store services. For website conversion measurement, advertising platforms receive only generic conversion information when such tracking is enabled and consented to; GO INTERNATIONAL! does not send religion, politics, orientation, compatibility answers, private messages, biography contents, exact profile identity or moderation information as advertising data. We do not sell personal data to advertisers.
6. International transfers
Because Go International! is international and uses global service providers, personal data may be processed outside your country. Where European data-protection law requires transfer safeguards, we use an appropriate legal mechanism, such as an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses or another permitted safeguard.
7. Retention
Account and profile information needed to provide the service is kept while your account remains active. Historical or operational personal records controlled by Shoho Games are retained for no more than 365 days after they are no longer needed for an active feature or open case, unless a specific accounting, statutory, legal-claims or provider requirement requires a narrowly scoped record to be kept longer. Existing shorter rules remain shorter: app health/error events are limited to 30 days and generated data-export files expire after 7 days. Permanent account deletion removes the active public profile and account-linked data through the deletion cascade, with controlled account-linked uploaded media cleaned up where technically possible. Managed backups may contain deleted data until the backup expires and are not used as an active archive.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy of certain data, withdraw consent and complain to a data-protection authority. Privacy & data settings provide access to this Privacy Policy, sensitive-data consent management, the existing data-export request system, permanent account deletion and privacy/support contact options. Other requests can be made through the support channels provided in the service.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect account and profile data, including authenticated access controls, database security rules and service-provider protections. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so you should protect your sign-in methods and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
10. Cookies, local storage and similar technology
On the web experience, essential authentication/session storage and privacy-choice storage may operate as necessary. A web consent manager provides Accept, Reject and Manage preferences controls for optional analytics and advertising tracking, and the choice can be changed later. Google Analytics is used on the web only after you allow optional analytics in the consent manager. It measures visits, page views and general product usage and may use cookies or similar identifiers for that purpose. Google Analytics is not used to send sensitive dating-profile fields, private messages or exact profile identity as advertising data. Ads conversion measurement remains a separate choice. When you allow it, Google Analytics may record completed onboarding as a conversion/key event and eligible measurement may be used with a linked Google Ads account for campaign measurement. Personalized advertising remains disabled by this implementation, and Meta Pixel is not initialized by this change. Web crash/observability reporting is also treated as optional analytics and remains gated behind the relevant choice.
11. Children
Go International! is an adults-only dating service. People under 18 may not create accounts. If we learn that an account belongs to a person under 18, we may suspend or remove it and take reasonable steps to delete associated data.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service and legal requirements evolve. The current version and its effective date will remain available on the website. Privacy and data-rights requests can be made through the support channels provided by Go International! Dating.
Referral fraud prevention
We store a protected hash of an app-scoped device or installation identifier to detect accounts using the same device. We do not use your advertising ID for this. Device records are retained for up to 180 days after last use. The app owner reviews referral eligibility and records approval or rejection. These signals support review and are not proof of identity or fraud.
Mobile advertising, purchase services and privacy contact
The website conversion measurement and web consent choices described above are separate from advertising in the mobile apps. Where mobile ads are enabled, Google AdMob may process IP-derived approximate location, device and advertising identifiers, ad and product interactions, and crash, performance and diagnostic information for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention and analytics. Device identifiers may be used for tracking across other companies' apps and websites, subject to applicable consent and device permissions. You can manage device-level advertising and tracking permissions in your device settings.
RevenueCat processes your app account identifier and store purchase, subscription and entitlement records to verify purchases, manage paid access and analyse purchase activity. Apple and Google process store payments; GO INTERNATIONAL! does not receive your full payment-card details.
We require service providers that receive personal data to protect it consistently with this policy and applicable data-protection requirements. For privacy choices, consent withdrawal, access or deletion requests, use Privacy & data in the app or contact support@gointernational.dating.
